MySpace Editor by zazim.com One of the top up & comers of the country era in the early 90's. In 1994 a young nineteen year old singer sealed a major record deal in 1994 to Warner Brothers Records, a publishing deal with Bill Ham's Lone Wolf Music and a management deal with one of Nashville's finest. The bidding war began a few years earlier when William was spotted in New York and was immediately pushed by Debbie Rose at ASCAP while attending American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She made a few calls and the madness began. Meetings were held with industry heavy hitters like Ahmed Urtegan, Clive Davis & just about everyone who was somebody at the time. The team finalized with Doug Grau, Christi Dinapoli. Bill Ham, Ed Saye Anthony Martin. Songs were picked, demos were cut and the music was pouring out. The timing could not have been better but it actually was not good at all. Garth Brooks was everywhere, Clint Black started the movement of the young guns, but Garth dominated and everyone else was pretty much put on the back burner. William had (3) songs already cut. Blue Clear Sky, Someone Else's Star & She Can't Say She Never Cried. All to be taken by other artists George Strait, Brian White & Rick Trevino.Well it's a new decade & William has had quite a few years of seasoning & growth. It is also a time for new beginnings and the competition is not like it used to be. William has always added a fresh look to the country market & a indentifiable voice.
