Well, hey!

About Me

I'm an Air Force brat, but half Georgia peach and half Texas rose. Does that make me yellow? Certainly not yellow-bellied! I consider myself a southern girl because I was raised that way and find my accent whenever I'm around my mother, I'm angry, or after a glass of wine.I have the best friends in the world. Great women I've known for years (Erin, Kenda, Jen and Denise) and two men - Raleigh boys I love to no end (Jon and Jimmy). I'm also very blessed to have so very many close friends that I love dearly that I've met along the way - I seem to never know a stranger. I like that about myself. I am indeed a true friend to others as well.I love music and music is my soul. I wear my heart on my sleeve because I don't know how to function any other way. I've tried to do it differently, but it's kind of like me trying to look in the mirror, gazing at myself lookin' all fine and dandy, turning to leave the room and running smack into the wall. It just never quite works out. I operate much better gushing with abandon. I may feel foolish afterward, but at least I stayed true to myself. I fall in love with people all the time. I love their spirits, their fire and things that motivate their minds. It's absolutely fascinating to me. I think people are beautiful - works of art. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yes. Pappy on the corner with bottle of Mad Dog and is pissed off at the world may not be beautiful to me, but to someone else, he probably tells the funniest joke in the world. Power to Pappy!I guess I'm a little strange and I don't really know what to write here. It will no doubt evolve many times. The question is...will you keep checking in?

You Have Your Sarcastic Moments
While you're not sarcastic at all times, you definitely have a cynical edge.
In your opinion, not all people are annoying. Some are dead!
And although you do have your genuine moments, you can't help getting your zingers in.
Some people might be a little hurt by your sarcasm, but it's more likely they think you're hilarious. How Sarcastic Are You?
You Should Be a Song Writer
You have the ability to evoke emotion, tell a story, and hook someone...
In a very small amount of words, perhaps with some deft rhyming.
Even if you can't write music, you can sure write compelling lyrics.
Lyrics so good, people will have them stuck in their heads! What Type of Writer Should You Be?

I'd like to meet:

God, Elvis Presley, James Dean, Angelina Jolie - is she really that beautiful in person and what a humanitarian, my father, Anthony (who died when I was a little girl) now that I'm all grown up, Jim Morrison, Vivien Leigh, Flannery O'Connor, BETH HART

Music:

I admire any musical artist with a passion for what he or she is doing. I'm varied in my musical interests, but I really don't like rap music. I can't follow the lyrics and I'm a lyric girl. Give me an artist who shows me something I've never felt before and I'll show you a loyal fan. I'm obsessed with anything bluesy and the acoustic guitar. I have so very many musicians I am in awe of that there too many to list! I can name a few off the top of my head that have caused me great moments of thinking, brought tears to my eyes or shaped me considerably. Lyrically, JIM MORRISON, BETH HART, ROB THOMAS...the list will grow as it comes to me. LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION, TORI AMOS, MARTINA MCBRIDE, HEART, AARON NEVILLE, ARETHA FRANKLIN, THE EAGLES, JOURNEY, ALICIA KEYS, ELTON JOHN, TONY MCALPINE, STYX, TRIUMPH, LYLE LOVETT, LED ZEPPELIN, CREAM, BOSTON, THE ORIGINAL ROCK STAR - MOZART...I am currently in love with THE CLARK BROTHERS - their sound is so full of passion and conviction that I just can't shake 'em. VK LYNNE rocks, so check her profile - you'll dig her! DOYLE BRAMHALL II is both very hot and I can't stop listening to his music, he is infectious! Oh, man...MATT BEAL is the BOMB - ATOM BOMB, that is..check him out on my top friends and you will like his sound! **APRYL HILL** is a dear friend and an awesome songwriter - check her profile and be wow-ed! BETH HART calms me down and shakes me to my toes. I can't even explain it, other than to say that she's the kind of songwriter I most identify with. I play the piano like she does, my style is similar to hers, at least from inside myself. She projects as much soul as I feel. To experience her music has been life changing for me. Here are several performances, and she is equally as powerful visually. Check her out for yourself...

Movies:

My two favorite are, and this should pretty much describe my personality...Gone With the Wind and This is Spinal Tap. Scary, isn't it? I love movies! Bring me a movie and a blanket and I'll make the guacamole!

Television:

Law and Order SVU and CI, Dirty Sexy Money, Damages, House,Saving Grace, Murder by the Book, Cold Case Files, American Justice, 48 Hours, The Daily Show, CSI, Survivor, American Idol, The Food Network, Oprah, John Edward Crossing Over, Criminal Minds, Biography, Survivorman, Intervention. There is a basic theme here - crime tv, interesting people, talent, learning new things and great writing! Yup! TiVo has saved me from television, though. I actually watch very little television now that I have my programs whenever I want them. Glorious little invention...

Books:

The classics, but that's in the eye of the beholder as well. I absolutely love Southern Gothic stories - McCullers, O'Connor, Welty, etc...I really enjoyed the slew of Jack the Ripper theory books that came out a few years ago. a href="http://www.myspace.com/dodinsky">
