Singer, musician, producer, writer, Actor, Choreographer, Clinician, Speaker and worshipper are all appropriate titles for this musical innovator. S. Royce Mosley, aka "Coach," for his role as a vocal trainer, is a Louisiana native. His vocal style and delivery has often been paralleled with the likes of Donnie Hathaway and Luther Vandross. His passion for worship coupled with his annointed vocals and stage presence has, unmistakably, made him one of the greatest praise & worship leaders of our time.
He is a member of Delta Omicron Professional Music Fraternity. He is the Minister of Music Worship and the Arts at the Lone Wa Worship Center. (Monroe, La). He currently serves as the Music Director for the Louisiana Baptist State Youth Encampment. He is also the Music Director for billboard recording artists, The Bright Star Male Chorus. He is on staff with the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Sunday School Publishing Board where he serves as director of music for the annual Vacation Bible School Recording.
Mosley has done studies in music education (Choral/ Vocal) at the University of Louisiana, Monroe. There he has developed a love for choral training and has done much study in the use of visual expressivities as they pertain to vocal ensembles. Mosley has traveled extensively as a choral workshop clinician. He has often been sought after for his ability to take standard choral technique and apply it to secular, as well as Christian/gospel renditions, for the purpose of maintaining proper vocal health. "The music is different, but the technique is the same," says Mosley. He has done collaborations with the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra as well as the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra among others. He currently serves as vocal coach and arranger for gospel music's hottest female groups, Zie'l (www.myspace.com/officialziel). He has been the winner of many accredited vocal competitions to include several first place rankings at the National teachers of Singing Competition (NATS). He was also winner of the Gospel Music Workshop of America's Juanita Burns Scholarship Competition in voice for 4 consecutive years!
Mosley has shared the stage with, as well as accompanied, several of gospels greatest voices. They include the late Rev. James Moore, Norman Hutchins, Dorothy Norwood, Karen Clark-Sheard, Byron Cage, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Lecresia Campbell, Rance Allen, Richard Smallwood, The Mississippi Mass Choir, Helen Baylor, Greg Oquinn & Joyful Noyze, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Rev. James Bignon, Kurt Karr and singers, Vickie Winana, and many more. He has made appearances as guest soloist on several national recordings including the GMWA.
Mosley has completed his live solo debut recording to be released this fall!
