Gee....where do I start....My name is Kathy and I've been happily married to a really great guy for 27 years this August. He's my best friend and the love of my life. I love his quiet strength that calms me when I'm crazy, and his ability to make me laugh when I'm sad. This journey would be very boring without him. We have five kids and one sweet yet slightly neurotic cat...Gracie. As far as personality goes, I'm pretty laid back...the only time I get sort of uptight is when I start tripping over the 49 gazillion piles of laundry that are scattered all over the house...dang it...that must mean I'm uptight all the time....hmmm....that's not good....oh well... I've always been somebody who likes to laugh, but lately the urge to do so has grown to epic proportions. In fact...if I haven't busted out laughing at least 5 or 6 times a day...you can bet I'm having a really lousy day! I don't know...I think it's a survival mechanism God has given me to live through having five teenagers at once..... okay...technically I only have 3 teenagers now because Audrey is 21 and Nathan is 20....whatever..still seems like 5....Or maybe, it's just that God has finally shown me the beauty of finding the humor in just about every situation. Whatever it is, I'm a lot happier than I used to be! I finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up, so I went back to school four years ago and am in the agonizing process of becoming a court reporter....sort of like a nightmare you pay to be a part of...lol....but....it's going to be wonderful when I get out of school...or it better be!...yes...it will be...think positively Kathy... Other than that, I am privileged to be a member of a totally awesome church...Church in the City in Rowlett. It's a non-denominational church that has incredible praise and worship music, amazing pastors that teach us the Word of God every week, and just an intense atmosphere of the presence of God. Phil and I have the great privilege of leading a soul winning group there! Every other Saturday we're hitting the streets, going house to house and nursing homes and seeing people get born again....there is absolutely nothing more satisfying to a Christian than praying with someone to accept Jesus Christ...it's an incredible experience!! I would love to talk to anybody, especially if you need prayer or encouraging....those are two of my favorite things. If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ...you are just the person I want to talk to!! I would love to tell you how you can change your eternal destination today!God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit...the Dynamic Trio in One...He's so amazingly awesome! If you don't know how much He loves you and how He feels about you...I'd love to tell you!! Why the most powerful being in the whole universe wants to talk to me and have a relationship with me, an extremely ordinary person from Rockwall, Texas, is beyond my comprehension, but hey....thank goodness I don't have to understand why God is like He is...I can just enjoy Him for who He is! And by the way...if by chance anything I say, or any picture I put on here embarrasses my kiddos, then I feel I have done my job....you wouldn't believe the times they have done the same for me through the years......it's payback time....yeeaahhh baby!!!!! Below are a few of the millions of pics we took on our vacation to Yosemite National Park summer before last...I'm still not tired of looking at the pictures, so they're still on here! Omgosh...what a gorgeous place! I don't think I'll ever recover....
