so heres the scoop FACTS:Northern Uganda has been called the worst hummanitarian crisis in the world today beacuse of the lack of attention1.7 million people have been forcibly displacedan estimated 20,000-50,000 CHILDREN have been abducted to fight as soldiersTens of thousands of children commuting nightly130 people die PER DAY due to violencein 2003, three young filmakers from California (laren, Bobby, and Jason) went to Sudan looking for a stroy. After being sent to Uganda they found more than a story, they found children. Thousands and thousands of children. Children with out proper food, shelter, clothing, education, and even saftey. These kids walked miles every night to sleep on dirty floors, packed together with tons of other children. When asked why, the children replied 'for saftey, to escape the rebels' The Lords Resistence Army (LRA) comes, kidnaps kids, (thats right KIDS, you know, like the ones that watch Barney while u babysit them) he 'desensitices' them by brutely torturing them and their fellow abuducties. Many are killed, and the rest are forced to kill.so need i spell it out for you, THIS NEEDS TO STOP!!!!Ivisible children is now giving money to support these children, and to raise awarness in the united states and nations. The only problem is, they cant do it alone. Thats were we come in. After seeing this film, us youngins' have decided that Central Florida needs to do soemthing. Beebing Hearts of Central Florida is not a buissness, company, orginiaztion, or charity. Were kids, like you, that wanted to do something. There will be events taking place throughout Central Florida so we can raise money for invisible children. From T-shirts to anklets, concerts to 'house party' showings of the film, to us begging on the streets like girl scouts durring cookie season, we will be making our small little difference. so please attend and support these events and invisible children, who knows, u might be the reasone they become seen? this layout is from whateverlife.com!
