Hurricane has worked with industry Icons such as Quincy Jones and Benny Medina, and the late Brandon Tartikoff, just to name a few. When He is not teaching classes at scratch, you can find Hurricane in the “lab†banging out beats and remixes for Labels, Artists, and DJ’s alike. And, if you’re into live remixing and mash-ups look for Hurricane headlining at clubs from New Orleans, to Miami, to the Caribbean! As A FIGHTER!!! A subbmission Specialist, with over 17 years of experience, Clifton (Hurricane) Melerine has earned his rank of Brown Belt in JiuJitsu and Judo... Cliff has also cross-trained with ledgends such as Gene Labelle, Oleg Taktaroff, Frank Shamrock, Kevin Jackson, Hayward Nishioka, and Leonardo Javier and is also well versed in Combat Sambo, MuayThai, Akido, and Capoeira. Some of his titles include: 2 time Junior Olympic silver medalist in Judo, 2001 US Open SanShao champion (160lbs), 2 time International Grappling Championships bronze medalist. As a trainer, Hurricane has had several students and teammates fight successfully in MMA including UFC, FFC, WEC and The Ultimate fighter series.
