Influences: Scratch DJ Academy was founded by Jam Master Jay (legendary DJ of Run DMC).
Scratch has several DJ pioneers as instructors like Grandwizzard Theodore (inventor of the scratch) and Grandmaster Caz. And, on any day at Scratch DJ Academy, you can find course and private lesson instructors with extensive experience in club DJ'ing, battling, mixtape production, and music production (beat making). Our DJ's specialize in all types of music from house to rock to hip hop to electronic, and many have numerous residencies throughout New York City , Miami , and Los Angeles .
Sounds Like: We teach you "how to DJ" and don't tell you "what to DJ." You will learn the skills to spin whatever type of music you want, be it electronic, house, rock, hip hop, reggae, or any other genre.
