BIO: RICH HANNON MUSIC is the roots-rock brainchild of namesake and Mid Atlantic guitarist/frontman Rich Hannon. Hailing from Maryland, this power trio launched in 2006 with an ear opening three song promotional CD that has yielded rave reviews from coast to coast. Often compared to timeless bands such as Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains and King's X, Hannon's riffy guitar work and winding melodies have proven to fare well on todays modern rock airwaves.
Memorable, soulful rock...guitar tone for
days...songs you'll want to
listen to more than once. This one stays on my
iPod!
- Joel Selvin, San
Francisco Chronicle
In late 2003, Hannon relocated from Western, Md to Annapolis, and was audibly inspired by the change. With a catalog of songs ready to go, Hannon enlisted the talents of long time writing companions Sean Boyer (drums/vox) & Lenny Everett (bass/vox) to form the solid rhythm section that would make the music take flight. Their regional successes and work together in various ensembles from the late 90's through the new millenium would begin pre-production of this new body of work in mid-summer 2005 at Everett's project studio.
The guitar work is great, & here's how I sum up the songs... Rich Hannon, to me is a Caucasian Lenny Kravitz!

Since then, the first single from the project Drivin', held the No.1 most downloaded songs slot for 15 consecutive weeks on England's popular music site: ukmusicsearch.com. Soon to follow was a No.2 slot for Hannon's blues/rock infused Drift, which led to an online interview with Editor Mike Bond. The online buzz would soon prompt the next step, a video. The Drivin' visual was filmed by Tucker Jones of Urban Runic Entertainment and posted to the internet. In December, Hannon launched "Get Rich for the Holidays", a promotional cable TV commercial that would run from CA to MD.
Sir George Martin and the crew at Garageband.com awarded Drivin' Track of the day, Best Guitars, Most Original, Best Beat, and Best Production throughout 2006. Unexpected Quality and Drivin' have been supported by UCLA Radio, Live 105 (San Francisco) KUSF 90.3 (San Francisco) and 102.9 The Razor (Pennsylvania). Cingular Wireless has also inked Drivin' and Never Seen It All as downloadable ringtones.

The sampler I received contained 3 ear-opening songs: Drivin, Never Seen It All, and Unexpected Quality.. - I listened to Unexpected Quality 20 times in a row, I love it! Standout vocals and fleshy riffs permeate...the more I hear, the more I like!

Rich is cooler than you are, I think your band should steal his tunes because he writes better songs than you do.
