D.E.D. (Death Emitting Diode) are a cyber-metal / industrial / electro band and the brainchild of Rob 'Gemini' Bradley. The name is based on the concept of an L.E.D. or 'Light Emitting Diode'. Only where an L.E.D. emits light, I try and grasp the concept of one day producing a machine that will turn against it's creator and ultimately be our master and even destructor. It's my own bleak perception of a world that faces increased automation and de-humanisation...
Death Emitting Diode is my very first musical project. Drawing from sci-fi influences such as Blade Runner, Terminator, the Alien saga, and video game soundtracks such as Turrican and the Metroid series, I wanted to write about the more thought-provoking elements of this subject matter and relate how they affect us in modern day life.
Currently recording the 'Password' single and 'Welcome To The Machine' EP, the D.E.D. machine is being remodelled, recharged, redefined. The future is nearly upon us...
