About Me

Formed in their early college days, Balistiq have crafted their sound as a result of many different music genresDisgusto brought the influence of Jungle/DnB, Underground Rap and a touch of Dub Reggae into the fray while NÃ¡bru himself added a lighter side to their work due to his more musical natureThe pair began working on music after realizing they both had the potential to organize sound in a creative and distinct wayThe name "Balistiq" (Adj.1 balistiq - relating to or characteristic of the motion of objects moving under their own momentum and the force of gravity = "balistiq missile") Read that over again, this time replace objects for producers and missile with songAs time went by, they managed to build contacts with important people within the industry and then went onto being part of a set up known to many as Related MusicConsisting of Disgusto's older brother Mc Rage (well known in the DnB scene) and a few more of their tight friends and family, Related Music in the past couple of years, have been putting the work in and are now starting to see the fruit of their laborThe most notable project to date which Balistiq have been directly involved in is the establishment of the Inner City Dwellers (see top friends or visit www.myspace.com/icdwellers) Currently working on a number of projects, the pair have also worked with the likes of Roll Deep, JME (Shu yuh muh Vol.1 - Final Boss, Poomplex Vol.2 - The Future), All In One (Off The Rail - Its Over), Chipmunk (League of My Own - Dont be Greedy), Trim (Soulfood Vol.3 - What Are We Now), Dynamite MC, Janita (Enjoy the Silence Remix), J2K and upcoming artist Remson (big shout to Rems each and every time)SCREAM!!!!!
