J. Verner is a singular figure in the electronic Brazilian scene. He went to music school and became a musician at 17. J. Verner’s interest for records and blending songs together came naturally. At 18 he started his career as a DJ in São Paulo – Brazil. Young and talented, J.Verner ran a FM radio program (Tribal Mix) broadcasted for towns around São Paulo city, and Tribal House became his signature since the program was a pioneer project. Mastering DJ mixing techniques, J Verner’s presentations are always remembered by their happy song repertory, which is full of new references. J Verner has his own music style called Tribal Jungle, which carries influences from indigenous sounds, with solid beats with African, Britannic and Latin grooves.
The album ‘Forest Drums EP’ launched by HMSPMusic groups – LATINtronix / HMSPlatino and produced by J.Verner was fundamental in his own Tribal Jungle style for its unique sounds.
This album is considered to be the born of Tribal Jungle music which did not have the intention of being an exclusive Brazilian style, however it reflects the Brazilian cultural melting pot. In fact, productions and remixes have being played by the main Brazilian and international DJs around the globe. Even though J.Verner productions are played by others, when in action, likes to surprise all with his exclusive tracks which are mainly private remixes of today’s and yesterday’s hits.
