JB does smooth jazz, gospel, r&b, poular, standards and more. While playing the sax is his 1st love, JB plays 9 other instruments and also sings and dances. He can carry the show alone as a track artist or raise the roof with his 4 piece backup band.Biography:"JB has many influences such as Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical and Country. What sets him apart from other musicians is the fact that his music has a devine message and story. JB's Father passed away when JB was 13years old, feeling the saddness of losing his father he put his energy towards music. His mother bought him a saxaphone and the rest is history. JB began playing the sax at church events, his audience was so overwhelmed with his playing that they told his mother to put JB in the studio. At 16 years old JB recorded his first project called "Jason's Begining"
This self taught musician plays like someone is actually singing through the saxaphone. JB retorts" I understand how it feels to be a kid with a dream of wanting to do something great, my dream is to inspire other kids, musicians to go after thier dreams. When I perform, I am in my comfort zone and I always connect with my audience."Destiny. That's it baby. JB Saxx is destined to be one of the greats! The saxophone is obviously his best friend and he squeezes every last drop of emotion from every song he plays with his friend.
