playing music, acoustic mostly. Bicycling riding, gardening and cooking, recovery, especially AA, Its been a good 12 years so far
More pickers!! We could get a bunch of mandolins together and play Led Zep's 'Battle of Evermore' or 'Louie, Louie' I cruise Craigslist for people looking for a band looking a bass player. i'd like to talk shop with some other bass players, too. I have been playing 5 strings for the last 10 years (!) I miss the funky (but overdone) slap and pop jack hammering. I really, REALLY want to meet more steel guitar players, I think I want to get one of those next, a nice dble neck with 8 pedals and 5 knee levers. That's an engineer's intrument! UPDATE:Well, I got an Upright Bass instead!! But I still like steel guitar alot! AND HEARTLAND FANS!!!
I really love music, listening to it, and playing it. I really prefer music made by musicians, real drummers and real horn players and real singers. And I really dig smart lyrics strung across a good melody. So, all that being said, these are some of my favorites, not in a particular order: The Smiths, Dwight Yoakam, Garth Brooks, Depeche Mode, Cream, George Strait, Grateful Dead, Steve Vai, Shania Twain, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Del McCoury, Joe Satriani, Jaco Pastorious/Weather Report, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jane's Addiction, Metallica, Hayseed Dixie, the Pixies, Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, Junior Brown, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Outcast, Staind. I play bass, both electric and Upright. I'll play with anyone. I can also play some guitar, just don't ask for a solo. I can hack my way around on mandolin. Mandolin is a really fun instrument, its like a guitar you can play on the toilet!!
I try not to go but my wife takes me to everything, sci fi mostly but I have a soft spot for movies with talking pigs
Battlestar Galatica, that's it - I like Star Trek and Stargate. What I like is the mangement style, just imagine if your work place was like these TV shows, people making decisions and making them WORK! WOW!!!
Biographies, music books, cook books, Bible, AA's Big Book
