Bob Adams

About Me

Although Bob Adams is primarily a guitarist and vocalist, he also plays Dobro, bass guitar, and tenor banjo. Bob’s music reflects many influences, which can be heard in his musical compositions, performances and recordings as he tackles everything from Country, Rock and Blues, to Bluegrass, Celtic & Jazz.

Born in the heart of New England and currently making his home in Los Angeles, Bob has performed & recorded professionally for over 20 years in a variety of styles. He earned a bachelor’s degree in professional music from Berklee College Of Music in 1989. He has studied with Bill Bresnahan, Steve Trovato, Charlie Chapman, Curt Shumate, and Jay Ford. Bob is also a highly regarded private instructor of guitar, music theory & composition.

Bob leads his own group, Bob Adams & Thirsty Boots. The sound is emphatically Country Rock, but with detours through Roots Americana territory- everything from Blues to Rockabilly to Surf, but always with a twang!

“Another Shot Of Whisky,” an Adams composition recorded with Thirsty Boots, received rave reviews on garageband.com. The song has also received awards on the same website:
