Devil’s Ruin Records

About Me

Call it what you will: gothic americana, appalachian rock, swampgrass, dark-folk, southern gothic, or what have you, Devil's Ruin is a label devoted to the artists creating music in this non-existent genre. Old-time sounds, murder ballads, sins, and redemption... Devil's Ruin is committed to taking the music from the counterculture to total world domination, sinner.

Band Members: We welcome you to submit your demo to Devil's Ruin. Though we are focussed on a specific type of music it is always possible an artist from a different genre will veer us from our targeted sound. So if you are sure that you've got the stuff, we would love to hear it. All demos are listened to and reviewed, but please note that due to the number of submissions we receive it is neither practical nor possible to follow-up with every submission. You may inquire on the status through the contact page, but we will not make any attempt to contact you unless we are interested in pursuing your music. Also, please note that we are a fledgling label aiming to provide printing, distribution, and some press for the artist we work with. We will not be issuing six-digit contracts (for that matter four-digit contracts) to an artist in response to their work. Our goal is to work with the talented independent artist to bring their work to a wider group of people.
