About Me

MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider
Being born from Chinese AND Japanese descent, I'm not sure if I qualify to be labelled as "bi-racial". I'd like to think I'm offbeat, quirky, as well as eloquent and outspoken. One thing I love doing on a subway car is standing in front of the subway map while someone is sleeping on the seat in front of it (so that the map is directly behind their head). It always takes them 5 seconds to realize that I'm trying to figure out how to transfer to the N or the R but as far as they're concerned, I'm just standing over them being creepy. Another one of my favorite hobbies involve running up the "down" escalator. When people hold the door open for me, I always say thank you. I prefer Macs to PCs, and my sitcoms laughtrack-free. Some might say I'm a film snob just because I disliked the movie 300 but trust me, as long as something is entertaining, I like even the most mainstream of current media. I have a not-so-healthy fixation of cool (and cool looking) gadgetry such as iPods, iPhones, Macs and anything that's equally trivial yet trendy. I love animals (it bothers me to see them in cages), working out, watching movies, karaoke, creative writing, and sitting at those fuzzy plush pink chairs in a swank Manhattan lounge. Some of my favorite foods are Indian buffets, Thai, Malay, Sushi, local eateries in Chinatown including Viet pho, as well as Italian and Mexican...and when I say Mexican, I mean places that don't charge for the chips and salsa at the beginning of the meal. If they do, it is not a real Mexican restaurant. I notice the subtle and funny things in life, such as pity laughs after a failed joke and women in high heels tripping on sidewalk crack on their way to a hot club.

My Interests

theatre, improv, movies, video games, working out, eating, DJing, shopping, drinking socially, Nintendo Wii, karaoke (pitch down -2 please :P), collecting offbeat yet fashionable t-shirts, sleeping, rolling sushi, cheese doodles (puffs, not the crunchy ones), observing awkward social interactions of others (and sometimes myself) whilst being amused

I'd like to meet:

Besides the lovely Evangeline Lilly in JPG form above, I'll meet anyone that is interesting as long as they're not friend collectors. At least pretend that you're interested in my profile if you're going to message me, please. Don't add me as a friend without messaging me first (unless I know you already), it's VERY annoying. You have to put a little effort into meeting new people in the real world so it's not that different here.

Old school music video vol. 2

Here is the music video that made me fall in love with Mariah. Apparently, all it takes to win me over is a generic black shirt, tucked into early 90s jeans, and curly long hair. I think I fell out of...

My very good friend Patrick Cohen is in this great internet TV series called "We Need Girlfriends." It's really very funny, fresh, endearing, and doesn't have a constant reliance on potty humor to pro...

The Penny Arcade hates me.

Every few months or so, I have enough loose change saved up in an empty Vitamin Water bottle to take to Commerce Bank. They have these machines there, two actually, called penny arcades. Basically, wh...

Do yourself a favor and watch two of the best summer movies this year...

Ratatouille was such a pleasant delight and it ranks up there as one of my favorite Pixar motion pictures. The amount of humanity portrayed in one of the most endearing animated casts I've ever seen i...

I definitely live to eat...

Three days ago, I decided to pull a 180 and began going to the gym again. Aside from that, the thing that's a little more difficult for me is to switch up my diet. With all the high fibers and low cal...

The Last Stand? More like the last mistake I'll make this summer at the movies...

If I wanted to watch a glorified trashy superhero movie that looks and sounds like a teeny-bopper kidfest, I'd stay home and watch Smallville. But at least that's not too bad, because it's a show on T...
