About Me

(Cheep! Cheep!)Hello to all the birds, turtles, pets, and people around the world! My name is Sarah Le Mara and I am a very cute yellow parakeet. I was brought from Evergreen Pet Center on October.13, 2002. My owner really loves me very much ever since she first saw me at Evergreen Pet Center. I use to have a husband and his name is Duncan, but he had passed away on April. 12, 2006. He's a very handsome light green parakeet.I really miss him a lot. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. Now I am stuck with another parakeet. His full name is Oscar 'Fatty Fat' Le Tomahawk, but my owner mostly call him Oscar. Oscar is a dark green parakeet with really wild eyes. He's a really cute, fat, and wild paraket. My owner brought him from CD Aquarium the day that Duncan died because she doesn't want me to be lonely.
-----------------------------------------------------
-- On January 2, 2008 Sarah Le Mara died at 6:28PM due to old age and injuries. She was a wonderful, beautiful and gorgeous yellow parakeet who enjoys each day of her life. Before her death, we'd found her injured with a blooded-right-eye and her wings has also shows signs of strain. Two of our birds, Toma-Hawk (Dark-Green) & Mo-Mo (Grayish-Yellow), was found on top of her. She was calling desperate cry for help, which we heard and came to her aid. We took her out and fractically try to comfort and relieve her from the pain. She was weak and couldn't stand up straight which hurt us seeing her. After her death, we were surprised to found her "eggs" which she layed.
-- A week earlier, we noticed she was weak but we had no idea she was pregnant at the time also after giving birth to her eggs. We thought it was because of her old age. After her death, we came back to the cage and surprisingly found her eggs lying there but sadly the 2-of-the-4 eggs was eaten by the two birds. We believe Sarah was trying to defend her eggs but was over-powered by Tomahawk & Mo-Mo and became severly injured. She was a brave mother who protected her eggs even if it cost her her life. The two eggs which survived will be buried with her in honor of her. We believed its the right thing to do to bury the eggs with her.
-- We are now relieved her suffering has ended and now she could join her beloved bird husband, Duncan Le McCloud (Yellow-Green Budgie), in the heavens where all birds go after their deaths. Sarah Le Mara was known to be a very sweet bird who doesn't enjoy being cuddled also have a very strong personality (she bites!). Her favorite toy was the swing and she enjoyed it everyday of her life. She lived up to 5 years, 2003-2008, and perhaps even longer counting the time of her birth into this world. We bought her at Evergreen Pet Center with her beloved husband at the time and was glad Sarah & Duncan both came into our life. She was the longest living parakeet in our family and we were glad she now can rest in peace. We know someday she would die of old-age but never expected to be from her severe injuries. Sarah could have lived even "longer" if we'd known about her pregancy before and provided the necessities needed for her motherhood. She will be buried side-by-side with her bird husband, her first beloved husband. They reeeaaally like each other when we bought them. Everytime Duncan go somewhere, she would go as well :). They had a perfect bond and they NEVER fight. Sarah, as she is, wants to be dominate and Duncan kindly allows her to (isn't that sweet^^). He was a short green-yellow parakeet.
-- We are deeply sadden and wish all pet owners out there to take care of their budgies and spend time with them. Each day is a different memory and we should cheerish it with our pet. Also please be aware if your budgies don't like each other, its best to keep them away from each other. They might "fight" each other to show who's dominate in the cage.
-- A very special thank you to all of you for your kind messages. ------------------------------------------------------
