Prince Peri

My royal name is Perfectly Precious Prince Peri the Periwinkle Parakeet; Peri for short. I'm four and a half years old, my hatchday is approximately February 20 and I'm a precision flyer. I love to sit in my window swing and chat with the outside birds. I am also very fond of mirrors. It's not that I'm vain; it's just nice to have someone to talk to who looks like me. I also like to sing a lot. My adoptive parents, Jeff and Jackie, tell me that I sing beautiful songs. I'm hoping that someday I'll be a recording sensation. I don't like going to the vet for my annual avian wellness check or my quarterly nail trims (which Mommy calls manicures). I'm afraid of the dogs and cats in the waiting room. I also don't like people to pet me, but I like to be hand fed. I don't eat as many pellets as I should, and I refuse to eat fruit, so Mom and Dad have to add bird vitamins to my food. My humans love me so much, and we love and miss my cousin Zowie, a green and yellow parakeet who passed away just about the time I was hatched. He's our little angel in heaven. My housemate siblings are tropical fish (whom are very boring if you ask me).
