About Me

First of all, the age on my profile is a joke... I have an annual 29th birthday party every January. I'm really 38.
I've been a DJ in Sacramento clubs since 1991. I don't DJ much anymore, but I still get out there every once in a while. I also do stand-up comedy. Mostly open mic nights and comedy competitions.
They say that when you're lying on your death bed, you won't regret the things you did in your life; you'll regret the things you never got around to doing. I don't know if I will have done everything that I wanted to do, but I damn sure will have tried.
Activity-wise, I spend most of my summer on the lake, and I love to travel, mostly off the continent. I've seen most of the US. I hardly ever watch TV. If I do, it's usually sports.
I love to eat out, especially Steakhouses or sushi. I can cook okay too, especially on a BBQ.
I've got a great career, but I have a completely irregular work schedule (lots of nights & weekends) and I travel for my job quite a bit. I usually work longer hours but fewer days, which gives me the time to scratch things off the "bucket list".
I don't play games, I don't cheat, and I endeavor to be drama-free. It's been a while since my last serious relationship, so my emotional baggage is limited to a small carry-on.
I'm a dog person.
I'm a big joker and I love making people laugh. I usually try to time it to when you're taking a big sip of soda.
and most of all: I'M IRISH! Erin go bragh!

The Weather Outside is Frightful

I'm on a long east coast and midwest swing and it reminds me why I live in California.  I was wearing short sleeves yesterday in Sacramento. Speaking of weather, this made me laugh... ...

Opposable Thumbs

I've always heard so much about how our opposable thumbs set us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom.  Now I get it. My cast immobilizes my thumb, which essentially makes it un-opposable.&n...

Giving Thanks

So I know I have lots of things to be thankful for, but I'm going to simplify this year: I'm thankful to be alive.  I came close to departing this earth 25 days ago and I'm really glad I'm still ...
