My Interests

The brotherhood of man, the beauty of being human, appreciating differences, the smell and taste of pumpkin and spices, moths, texture!!, small delicate details, shakin' it on the dance floor, IRONY, autumn, blending colors, creating catch phrases, becoming a character, research, the bigger picture, contorting my face into all sorts of grotesque expressions, music!, painting, creating spaces that say something, old houses, mountains, lichen, lush green grass, the twilight hour when everything turns silvery blue-grey, organic bath products, vintage loungerie, honesty, flowers, the ethereal, windows, baked goods a la mode, black coffee, being outside, children's books, rural Alabama, old trees, pleasant surprises, western air, quilts, growing and watching others grow, balance, meeting new peeps, taking long walks, good conversation, nice skin, colors, fashion, psychology, light, cooking for friends, theme parties, anatomy, getting my craft on, allowing people to just be themselves, photography, and all the cool stuff my friends do...plus just them.

the lives of others, all the real girls, harold and maude, talk to her, labyrinth, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, lost in translation, a very long engagement, the royal tenenbaums, snow falling on cedars, edward scissorhands, our mutual friend, a christmas story, the spitfire grill, high fidelity...i know these aren't technically movies, but i love music videos, i can watch them over and over (esp bjork's..always brilliant)

Books:

the brothers karamazov, the time traveller's wife, franny and zooey, til we have faces, the four loves, tess of the d'urberville's, the god who is there, all of flannery o'connor's short stories, any collection of poems by e.e. cummings or william blake, and of course (cliche, but for old times sake) lord of the rings
