About Me

What can I say, I love life and I'm happy! Will always say I'll be forever thankful for the wonderful friends I've been blessed with - the girls I have had by my side through thick and thin for the last six or seven years, I'm blessed, and I know things will never change on that note! Ladies, you're my Life and Soul. Get your little asses on MySpace for crying out loud!! Kat - this does not apply to you!xMy Girls-Kat, Angie & I at PoNana. Bhav & Aicha escaped this pic!!

I love catching up with my friends. Music, R&B, Hip-Hop, making music, singing, dancing, clubbing - good ol' Brighton!!! I was born in Moscow, Russia, and lived between Russia, Armenia and Jordan / Syria untill finally arriving in England at the age of 6, so have become very used to adapting to different cultures and ways of life. So much of the world I have yet to discover though! I love to travel, and meet new and exciting people. I studied at Brighton College of Design & Technology - where I met the best friends I could've wished for, these girls became a part of my Family and always will be. Brighton became somewhere I will always call home, such a cosmopolitan City, a relaxed, chilled out little London by the sea! Studied Fashion Design at University in London and am now working on a collection for a company in New York, as well as working on vocals for a few tracks for my friends. After living between the remote Sussex countryside and the beautiful south of France, I have finally landed right back in Brighton where I call home, amongst all my dear friends, my man, and the fresh sea air & fun, I am smiling again! Spending time with my lovely man always keeps me smiling! Fabrice, you are my inspiration baby xxxxxx

I'd like to meet:

Myspace BackgroundsI have been lucky enough to have been blessed with meeting the kind, honest and inspiring people that I have in my life, I couldn't wish for any more! I guess if it came down to fantasy I would love to meet Tony Blair and George 'Dubbya' Bush, just to tell them both to their faces they're a pair of wankers. Ironically, I've come to realise that the most inspiring people that that I'd have loved to have met are sadly not around anymore. People who have made a difference in the arts mainly - truly talented individuals, Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, BIG. I love to be around people who inspire me and make me think - people who are well travelled, well read and who live life to the full. Then again a lot of amazing people who I've met haven't had opportunities throughout their lives such as to travel and see the world, but they've made the most of each moment and of what they have had. Those who don't expect life to just pave the way for them, those who beleive in their goals and never stop chasing their dreams are the people who I love to be around. Though many of us may not reach our goals in our lifetimes, it's the way we fight for them and don't give up that counts, and makes us the individuals that we are. I couldn't name right now for the life of me the people I'd love to meet, but anyone who is honest, inspiring, and loves life (or has told Bush and Blair they're wankers to their faces)- I'd love to meet!

Music:

Any music, any time,anywhere.

Music is the most powerful form of expression, in my mind, those who do it well are gifted with the ability to bring true joy to our lives. My favourite genre has to be R&B. Smooth, soothing, sexy and romantic, as well as uplifting, what more can you ask for! My favourite artists would be Joe-this man's a genious! Jaheim, Keith Sweat, Genuine, Ne-Yo, Damage, Ray J, could go on forever!

Really into House and Funky House music also, as long as it's melodic I'll rock to it! Currently I am stuck on Fleetwood Mac, Their 'Very Best Of' album. Songwriting geniuses and truly gifted performers. Stevie Nicks has the most wonderful voice, as does the other Female vocalist - Christine McVie - Sister of John McVie, the drummer I beleive?! A few of my musical inspirations - The Who, Pink Floyd, Dima Orsho - my Aunt who has never stopped singing for a day in her life to achieve her dream of becoming a professional opera singer, and is now hugely successful accross the middle east and America. I love you. The Police, Steven Tyler - his voice gives me energy - each time I listen to Aerosmith I feel recharged! Queen, Freddie Murcury - no more needs to be siad - simply fucking amazing! Pic - Me & The Fabulous Marc7 of J5, after their concert at Guildhall, Southampton 2006. Jurassic 5 - these guys are my favourite hip hop act around at the moment, saw them in concert at Guildhall in Southampton last month, met them all after the gig - I could feel their energy back in Brighton the next day! They were so natural and laid back too - lovely people, was so refreshing meeting artists who are human and know it! Amazing, totally amazing - one of the best nights I've had in a long time - I suggest that you see them in concert if you get the chance.

Myspace Graphics -Franz Ferdinand, U2 - Bono - another hugely inspiring artist, Level 42, TalkingHeads, Rod Stuart, Eric Clapton - legend, Journey - Don't Stop Beleiving is an incredible song - always puts a smile on my face, check it out if you get a moment. Very impressed with The Kooks at the moment. Although I'm not a huge fan of her's, recently heard Lilly Allen's version of The Kooks' 'Naive' through a friend - one word - beautiful. Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Fall to Fiction - Ry I love u mate! Mr Songhurst - one day I will learn to play guitar like you, may take me the best of the next 20 years, but one day, I will my friend! - Seriously though, you are one truly talented guitarist! Rolling Stones, Beatles, Elton John - his music never gets old, Phill Collins. Feeder - love these guys - ...Got a brand new car...not quite a Jaguar...!! Thomas Newman - creator of one of the most beautiful film scores I have ever heard - this genius wrote the music for the film, American Beauty, brings a tear to my eye and has me mesmorised every time. I always loved Sarah McLaughlan - what a truly amazing voice. Kevin Taylor, former drummer for Anti Nowhere League.- Kev you've been an inspiration to me in many ways my dear friend, and to many others also I'm sure. Watching you perform makes me smile and I am constantly in awe of your energy and passion in what you do - truly amazing drummer. PS. Thanks for putting up with me making a tosser of myself on your drum kit every time you guys finish a gig! Also sorry about your windscreen wiper! Love you x Which reminds me - if you ever hear of a covers band called Foul Play - go and see them - mark my words - these guys rock my world! Kev, Mark, Danny, Matt and Chris - you guys are awesome! Mario Parga - Kev thanks for introducing me to this man's music - amazing guitarist. Guns n Roses - their debut album 'Appetite for Destruction' amazing! Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple - to be listned to LOUD and ONLY LOUD! ELO (Electric Light Orchestra), TOTO. In actual fact - the last two I have mentioned have been inspiration to much of todays trance music - many of their samples and songs have been used in the last 10 years by trance and dance djs. To this day since I bought her album; Music Box - which was the first CD I ever bought for myself when I first came to England, Mariah Carey has inspired me more than I can express. Her voice is undeniably, one of the most beautiful voices around today. I love listening to her older material, it's so pure and unpretentious. Decent R&B & Hip-Hop always gets me dancing-(Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Usher Raymond, Keith Sweat, Jodeci, Joe, Jaheim, Big L, Gwen Stefani, Big Pun, Aaliah - rest in peace girl, your music and your voice touches me everytime I listen. Mary J, Nate Dogg, Tupac, Biggie's album Life after Death is a classic). The older classics like SWV, TLC, Tatiana Ali and Salt n Peppa! Another huge inspiration to me as a female songwriter and vocalist is Leann Rhimes - she is so young and yet her vocal and musical talent can compare to some that have been around for the last 50 years! I love listening to her Best Of album, absolutely beautiful. Drum & Bass - just recently starting to get into that, loving the chilled out friendly crowd, and the fact that everyone's there for the music! One of the UK artists that I really like to listed to is Sway - his tune 'Products' is wonderful. Soul, Jazz - Saint Germain are amazing Jazz artists, often chill to their album 'Tourist' in the evenings in the countryide watching the sun go down. I am pretty eclectic overall. Recently been introduced to amazing artists including Jason Mraz and Imogen Heap - both incredibly original artists, beautifully talented. Postal Service is another new addition to my recent musical discoveries, thanks to my equally eclectic friends. As long as there's music in my life, I'm happy!!! Big up to my good friend MC Darrison who's another truly talented lyricist - my respect goes out to you man - always living for the music, living life and working for what you love to do.

Movies:

When I get the chance I listen to music instead, but I do love cult classics like Withnail & I - cannot imagine how many times I have watched this!! The Alien films must be mentioned! I'm a huge fan of comedy, laughter afterall is one of the greatest things. Good action movies always grab me too - my favourite movie at the moment - I must've watched this the last 4 days in a row now - Bad Boys 2! An absolute classic! I am quite happy to give most genres a chance - if it keeps me interested and my mind occupied, I'll keep watching!

Television:

Although I don't get to watch much TV at all, I do love to watch acting at it's best - and I admire wholly those who can do it truly well. 'HOUSE' was a fantastic series with Hugh Laurie, might even still be running. I couldn't miss a single episode as his acting was simply enchanting - good work Mr Laurie. South Park is legendary! The Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy are a few of my favourites also.

Books:

Couldn't live without them! Reading, along with music, just takes my mind to another place. Sidney Sheldon is one of my favourite authors, I beleive he has retired from writing now - if anyone knows different please inform me immediately!!! His books were so alive and involving - but the main thing that intrigues me about his work is that he wrote so accurately about women, first or third person format - it was perfect - how any man can understand and interpret so accurately how a woman may think or feel beats me entirely! Always trying to read up on the history of Russia, Armenia, Jordan and Syria - as these are my four Nationalities and I have always beleived it is important to know about your roots and motherland. Still finishing Vivienne Westwood's autobiography - What a life!!! One of my favourite fashion designers, along with fellow Brits; John Galliano (Dior) and Alexander McQueen, and mustn't forget Gianni Versace - colour genius of the fashion world - no one does it like he did to this day.

SHIT INDEED!!

Heroes:

In the music world, honestly, anyone who has the gift within them to make it and make it well, in whichever genre. Bob Marley, a legend who will live on for all time. Cannot beat the rhyming genius of BIG and Tupac - Big L who is also sadly not with us any more was a truly gifted lyricist, Shyne, Lauryn Hill etc... I could go on for days on this one! Fleetwood Mac, the Police, Phil Collins. Fashion - Vivienne Westwood, Gianni Versace, McQueen, Galliano, Coco Chanel - the limbs I would've temporarily traded to meet her!! Influences of the arts, and the world through their talent & heart.
