TOBB COBAIN (T.M.G.)

Tasean Shuford, known to friends as Tobb, grew up in Harlem, the hometown of some of the hottest emerging and now established hip hop artist in the rap game today. He first fell in love with music while listening to his mother play the records of musical greats like Gerald Alston, Stephanie Mills, Regina Bell, and the late great Luther Vandross. He later developed a liking for musical talents of such hip hop artist like Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, and Rakim. This diverse appetite for music allows Tobb to now comfortably express himself on top of any musical sound. "Being that I am solely a songwritger, it allows me to write different types of songs that I would not choose to sing if I was a recording artist."While attending high school, Tobb befriended two guys named Freaky Zeaky and Jim Jones who shared the same love and ethusiam for music as he did. Juelz Santana was a life long neighbor, and Cam'ron was an elementary school mate, but Tobb refers to them as cousins. These are the people who continue to help Tobb through the twist and turns within the music industry today.Although rarely in the spotlight, Tobb applies the same work ethic as his counterparts, leaving him destined for success. Although here now, Tobb wasn't always as focused on his music as he should have been. "Sometimes, people have to realize that everybody's road is different. Just because it happens for the next person does not mean it will automatically happen for you. You get out of it exactly what you put into it. So if you bust your ass, all the hard work should pay off sooner or later." Convincing himself that a change was necessary, in 2004, Tobb took a 1 1/2 year hiatus in Atlanta, GA to get a better perspective on life life, and a new one on music. It has been uphill ever since his return back to the Big Apple in December, 2005. He has been on a steady course to reach the top of the music industry as a songwriter. "Man, all I do is write, write, write, write."Tobb is currently working behind the scenes with top artist in the industry. "Like I always say.
