About Me

ok, let's see. i was pretty involved in the bridgeport, ct music and art scene for several years, and have recently come back. i used to help run a local arts & community org (www.thedominoeffect.org), which helped me meet some amazing artists and community leaders. i also got pretty interested in local and national politics through this experience, so i'm always looking for people to chat with on these topics. i moved to providence 2 years ago to start my MBA, and i just finished! i just got a job as general manager of an art center, and hope to develop a career where i can help lead the city's art rennaissance. what else? i am passionnate, impatient, smart, quirky, and an all-around pretty cool chick (oh and i'm modest too!). if you want to know anything else just ask... i might not tell you, but you can ask...

My Interests

live music, reading, tv and movies (comedy, drama, romance mostly), community activism, politics, conversing and connecting with friends.

I'd like to meet:

i wanna meet janeane garofalo so i can finally see if we really do look alike (i don't see it). i want to meet david krumholtz, jon stewart, and matt stone because i am always on the lookout for hot, talented jew-boys. and i'd like to meet anyone who is smart, quirky and fun to hang out with... so basically people as awesome as me ;) oh, and i also want to meet the creepy nutbag who created this gem:

Music:

i'm all over the place on this one... i go through phases. local to BPT-CT, i'm into christina abbott/hot bitch arsenal/the karner blues:

pencilgrass (r.i.p.), larissa delorenzo, darian cunning, the saucers, cosmic jibaros, manchado, planeside, raisinhill, bomb squad, and others i may be forgetting right now. i also listen to fiona apple, jeff buckley, cake, bjork, nellie mckay, ok go, sting/police, the smiths, led zeppelin, the who, peter gabriel, david bowie, most 80's stuff... the list goes on, so ask me!

Also, check out my new favorite jingle: The Super-Awesome iPod Touch Song

Movies:

hmmm... i hate to admit some of the 'girlier' ones, like "pride and prejudice", "bend it like beckham", and "the truth about cats and dogs", but there you have it. i also love anything that f***s with your head, like "being john malkovich", "garden state", "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" and of course, "cannibal! the musical". twisted humor is fun :) also, anything with john cusack, and anything brought to you by trey and matt... they are unsung comedic heroes.

Television:

will and grace, powerpuff girls, the daily show with jon stewart, simpsons, family guy, heroes, sex in the city, crossing jordan, law and order (any and all versions),house, medium, robbot chicken, and my favorite, numb3rs.

Books:

not reading much for pleasure these days, thanks to grad school, but i loved "good in bed" and all subsequent books by jennifer weiner, and "lamb" by christopher moore. i have several more books that i have, regrettably and embrassingly, started and not touched in a while. maybe when school is done...

Heroes:

hmmm... tough question. i would say my friends mike, patricia and melinda, for being brave and being themselves... and my sister for being all the things i am not.
