Ce n'est pas la peine de se tuer, puisqu'on se tue toujours trop tard. - E.M. Cioran

About Me

I'm a college student studying to get at least a Masters in The History of Western Philosophy. I spend most of my free time reading, writing, and sitting in diners smoking cigarettes. I'm loud, prolix, and some find me irritating. My opinions are not conventional, even among "Unconventional Types". I read more books in a year than most people do in their lifetimes. Sleep is something that I do half-way through the month when I pass out and I don't know why. My main goal in life is to write and publish books of aphorisms so dark that they make pregnant women miscarry and give birth to monsters. I want to end up listed in the Cambridge Autobiographical Dictionary before I die.

Random scribblings -

I want to work up the will to write, feel it rise in me in an indomitable stream. There is no feeling like losing myself in the act of artistic creation, the stringing together of words. Heroin and se...

I awoke in a delirium of alcoholic aftereffects and exhaustion. Bleary eyed and hung-over, I dressed with the simple robotic motions that have been imprinted into my brain to such an extent ...

A hand that writes . . .

I'm moving forward somehow, slogging through the morass of daily routine. Today, a thought came to me as I showered. Perhaps it is the very fact of my having an identity that is my problem. It i...

Pointless Misanthropy -

I wish I were a tree, a protazoa, a stone - anything but a human being! Why is it that I must think, talk, be cursed to feel . . . My irrational anger at being born outstrips my ability to express it....

Thought for the Day -

When people ask me whether I'm a liberal or conservative, I tell them that I want to be a liberal in the same way that Valdimir Lenin was a liberal.
