In 2003, Ann and Marshall went into the studio to record and the result was Ann's debut album: "Love, Pain, Trains, Bridesmaids, and Double-First Cousins" A really good album that featured lots of vocal harmonies, guitar interplay, and a few guest artists. At the end of 2005, Marshall and Ann decided they wanted to get serious about an acoustic-oriented musical endeavor that placed emphasis on melody, vocal harmonies, and strong arrangements incorporating originals and well-choosen covers.
Rebecca Bates first met Marshall and Ann in the Summer of 2002 while attending one the aforementioned Micheal's on the Square shows. There was an immediate musical chemistry between all 3. In the years to follow, Rebecca would sit in on several of Marshall and Ann's shows singing harmony and at times performing some of her original compositions. Finally, in the spring of 2007, after realizing how Rebecca contributed such "sweet" harmonies to the overall sound and also how much she had to bring to the table in terms of lyrics and music, it seemed only logical to have her as a full time member.
This is Sweet Harmony. We hope you like it!!!
