When listening to the talents of Southern Skye, you’ll not only be amazed by their musical accomplishments, but also by their youth. Southern Skye is a teen Bluegrass band, based in southeast Kentucky. The band has been together for about five years, and . has played at venues such as Dollywood’s Bluegrass & BBQ Festival in 2006, 08, 09. They have opened for Rhonda Vincent, Bobby Osborne and the Cherryholmes. They booked over 50 shows in 2007, and 75 shows in 2008. They come before thousands of bluegrass fans every year. If you like a mix of traditional, as well as original material, you will want to hear this group of young musicians.
