People without Myspace
Had I ever written this section seriously there is a good chance I would have put 90s icon and poetic genius Brett Anderson, I've met him and he was a gentleman of the highest order.
I might also have put Wayne Coyne, I claim to have met him, however this 'meeting' was far more a 'will you sign my ticket with this pencil my dad half-inched from ikea' than a sit down chat. If the opportunity arises the later is preferable, he obliged, but pencil doesn't imprint well on tickets. rubbish news.
I definitely do not want to meet anymore members of new exciting indie pop bands please, or anyone who suggests that rave needs saving, perhaps the rave-forest is a better cause for your mind-numbingly boring t-shirts topshop?
The idea in this section is that you type a pretentious list of bands that make you sound cool here, preferably in alphabetical order, starting with !!! and ending with ZZ Top. As yet I've not met another human who likes both bands so I'll not bore you with my own list. What I would say though is that music is based on opinions, high culture shouldn't apply, popular culture is a lie, but most of all rave does not need saving.
Ultimately though, to be fair, noone really gives a fuck what music you say you listen to anyway.
Just listen to something good, regardless of image, fashion or hype.
Oh and if it plays on four discs simultaneously it's probably pretty GOOD.Not enough people either write interesting lyrics, or listen to interesting lyrics, perhaps that's the way it will always be.
I've not seen enough films.
Some that i have seen and enjoyed are:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Jesus' Son
Dead Mans Shoes/A Room for Romeo Brass/This is England
The wind that blows the barley
a few more, might have to do this list someday!Id like to see more films that aren't as they first seem, and can compete with books in the worth-the-time stakes.
TELEVISION IS EVILKILL YOUR TELEVISION
Naked Lunch - Burroughs
Animal Farm - Orwell
Arguments for Socialism - Benn
The Dice Man - Rhinehart
Again this list is pathetic, I can't imagine anyone having a genuine interest in a big long list of books that I've read, or want people to think I've read. BUT Books are vitally important if you ever want to learn anything at all. Fact.
As you get older, it is harder to have heroes, but it is sort of necessary.
I haven't ever had a Hero as such, the more you look at someone the greater number of faults they seem to have... but there are a number of people who's lives have influenced me.
needless to say, the protagonist from flop BBC comedy "My Hero" is enough of an argument to suggest that heroes are absolute piss kidneys.
