Raised in a family with seven children, two boys and five girls, saying times were tough is an understatement. Regardless of the situation, they all stuck together and remained a close knit family. Her family, siblings especially, has been her backbone and greatest support system. Hip-hop became a distraction from everyday life as a child. It sparked an interest in her, and at the age of twelve she began writing her own lyrics.
