With his soulful voice and writing aptitude JAY has surpassed and surprised many. His musical history began at an early age singing in his father's church. After blowing people away with his undeniable skill and never ending range while singing with his older siblings, at the tender age of 7, JAY sang his first solo, "My Living Shall Not Be in Vain", in a theatric production of the musical, "Mama I Want To Sing". The people in the filled to capacity Braden Auditorium at ISU were blown away by this child whose voice filled the auditorium, and seemingly with no strain. From that moment JAY knew what he wanted to do. JAY's passion has led him to achieve so much at his young age. JAY has performed at numerous venues such as the legendary Apache Cafe in ATL, and even started his own record label, Third Set. The label had its first project released in the summer of 2005. In 2006 "Nothing", written by JAY was featured on the Stellar Award winning choir New Direction's album, "Send the Praise". Along with these accomplishments, JAY was just named McClean County Idol for 2007. His debut album, "MY TURN" is creating a major buzz with industry insiders. His singles are breaking across the country on numerous radio outlets such as WGCI's NEW! and spinning with some of the worlds craziest DJ's such as DJ Aktive! Currently JAY is promoting his debut album and recording his sophomore album. "Music is my passion, it's who I am Im just trying to share it with others"... JAY admits. From singing with his siblings, performing solo, establishing a record label, writing for Stellar award winning choirs, to recording and writing his own album JAY has impressed so many, but at just 20, there is still so much potential for even greater and he shows no sign of slowing down!
