Huromoods

I’m Daniel Leech, I was born in 'Oulton Broad', Lowestoft, Suffolk. Where I spent my childhood. I later moved to Kirkley, where my ongoing creativity was channeled into music, and later into video. Almost since birth I have been creating things. Whether it is design, art, music, and video. Creating has always been a significant part of my life.
My grandparents had a profound influence on my musical development. My nana 'Irene Leech' was a singer and musician named 'Renny Lee' for a time, releasing a record LP album. I often listened to classical/opera works as a child, my nana often tried to teach me how to read/write music between the ages of 3-7. I have an evolved classical foundation however I have been mostly self-taught within the realm of electronic forms of music.
Music
The name 'Huromoods' was discovered by chance during a conversation with the only other member the group has had 'Will Baker'. 'Huromoods' was chosen because we felt it reflected the nature of the sound and would go on to influence our style of 'Chill-out'. We worked together on the first song created under the name. Then partly due to lack of public interest sadly have not worked on another project since. Although has not officially left the group.
Before I started university in 2007, I created two albums. The first was made in 2006 and was titled 'Immersed'. The second of 2007 (a slightly better reflection of my style) 'Corner Of The Universe'.
My home in Kirkley was situated meters away from the birthplace of the famous classical composer 'Benjamin Britten'. Who may have subconsciously influenced the direction of my music in some spiritual way.
The two albums were made available online through the torrent network and were downloaded (entire album) between them 10,000+ times. Interest in my music has been worldwide. The genre, nature and exclusivity of the music however have meant little interest from commercial sponsors unfortunately.
I’ve attempted with 'Huromoods' to create something quite atmospheric, mystical, music for people of our technological age to find some kind of inner peace. Although the real reason behind the branding derives from pure experimentation of the arts. I’ve further more attempted to channel this experimentation into something that could be regarded as having a level of acceptability.
