Hiphop is what we Love, Freedom is what we Need...

About Me

COP THE MIXTAPES!! TRUTH 2 POWER & FORCE OF NATURE!!ALBUM COMING SOON!!+++++What does it benefit a man to gain extraordinary fame and fortune while his community suffers? This is the question, theme, and code, that True Dialect lives by. Mainstream hip-hop is dominated by artists who represent either a gangster or pimp image, accompanied by the hottest beats that money can buy. Recognizing this age-old trick of multi-media corporations - and the system in general - who do not work in the interests of the community, True Dialect sees how the music must also be influential towards an empowered way of life. Realizing the detrimental affect some current music has on the thinking of youth, True Dialect, in the spirit of many artists before them, decided to make a change. "I have an extreme love for music and hope that I can use music as an instrument in the fight for our liberation," says Welz, one half of True Dialect. The upstate NY native and Director at Lotus Academy, an African-centered school in Philadelphia, emphasizes that he is "dedicated to the eradication of exploitation and oppression of all people." Welz diversifies the duo with his soulful singing, bringing a rhythm and blues element to their music.Prosser, also known as G Brown, completes True Dialect. Raised in the inner-city neighborhood of East New York, Brooklyn, Prosser long encountered many of the issues that face people of African descent. "I realized that I would use words to send a message," says the MC, also the Philadelphia Chapter Director for the leadership organization, Sankofa Community Empowerment, Inc. (WWW.SANKOFAEMPOWERMENT.ORG). "I see a future, not only in the continued work to meet the needs of the community, but to make True Dialect a vehicle to assist in the healing for society as well," Prosser envisions. Focusing on true-school styled lyricism, Prosser compliments Welz in their conceptual hiphop approach. The public has been systematically deceived into believing the stereotypes on the screen and on the air, as well as distorted views of manhood. True Dialect works to address and provide solutions to these and other problems. Using uplifting words, bangin' beats, and the realism of the streets, True Dialect reminds the people that there is still hope, and that the community is destined for a positive way of life. Through the work and the music, the mental chains of enslavement will be broken.Contact: Miss E., Manager True Dialect E-mail: [email protected] Phone: 215-668-8171

"Mr. Me Too" Syndrome

Peace. There's nothing worse in hiphop right now than the "Mr Me Too" syndrome. The catch phrase outlined by Pharell and The Clipse- in their ode to essentially copycats who don't really have the true...
