Last night I had the strangest dream...

About Me

Wetchina is a loose association of a few musicians in Jackson, TN. The inspiration is jam acoustic with roots in folk and blues. I maintain the sight to keep the tunes flowing in and out through the Myspace portal.

I’ve written some new tunes recently and have been working to get them recorded. Working home alone mostly. Excruciating. I love to throw things up in the air when I’m recording but I’m not always happy with where they land. I guess that’s an inherent problem with recording things.

What you have here is a remix of an older song, Poison Dove. Thanks to Rodney who co-wrote Poison Dove and sings here. A mountain kind of folk song is Happy. Scotch-Irish roots showing there. Zoe is about a lovely music and camping site called Zoe in the Missouri Ozarks. Check it out and I’ll see you there next summer. I Need Some Music is a little country-folk ditty. Peng tells a story from the taoist text, the Chang-Zu. Song of Love is a quirky, funny (hopefully) tune that is a nice showcase for acoustic sounds.

I hope you find something here you like. Thanks for dropping by.

Out da forest

Our local paper, the Jackson Sun, pulled a cool story off the wire on Father's Day.  It's about one life that was lost and one that was saved on the Kankakee River near Momence, Illinois. A grand...
