Runeytoons, The Lunacy Continues

About Me

"You've got to kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight".
Bruce Cockburn

I found this image a few years ago of the Tao with one side binary code and the other side a jumble of art. I can't think of a better description of my brain. Logic and the creative spark side by side. web geek & artiste/black & white/up & down/on & off/dark matter & dark energy. LIFE!

My Interests

Ever Celtic, Ever Creole. Has a nice ring.

The Second Coming
by William Butler Yeats

TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Gaming, gaming, gaming.

Warcraft Update
I suppose you've noticed that the WoW section keeps shrinking. Can't update something you haven't been doing, right?
Anyway, I love the game, but have very little time for nerdy pursuits. As much as I enjoy them!
I keep telling my friends that "as soon as we move" I'll have more time. It could happen! Really. No, seriously. I mean it...I'm pretty sure I do!
That is all. Carry on. ;-

I'd like to meet:

(in no particular order, well, except for the first one...) Springsteen, Tom Robbins, Maya Angelou, Mary Magdeline, Steven Tyler, Julian of Norwich, Edouard Manet, Jamie Lee Curtis. Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, FDR, Jesus, and James Joyce (the ineluctable modality of the visible, indeed!)...well, and the world. Head on. With vigor.

I wish I had a poem to put here. I suppose it's not quite time to have a new one, maybe. At any rate, no one else could say what I feel or think. So I think I'll just reflect upon the year, and let the poetry find itself.God Bless You

Weirdly Sad Morning

So, I didn't want to get out of bed this morning.  And I couldn't sleep.  And I felt like the world was shattering into shards of glass.  And I couldn't understand a single bit of it.Fi...

A long december?

So, tonight I'm going through a playlist I transferred - editing the inevitable "Track 1" curse - and I wonder...these dreams I have assigned, these hidden desires, these imprints of a savior who'll r...

I like how our emotions...

I like how our emotions seem to find a comfortable home in both of us. I like how when we talk about the truths in our lives, we both get it. I like the way we are pacing things, so that both of us ha...

Holidays and Napster

I love the holidays.  Not in that sappy blow-up snowglobe kinda way, but I do take comfort in the traditions.  I guess most of us do. I've never hated the holidays, though at times I have d...

Love, huh...what is it good for?

What is this love of which you speak?  How can it survive?  How do we find the spark in another's eyes? Seriously...how does that recognition occur? And once it is recognized, what makes the...
