My passion for music started at the age of 10. My father at that time would do gigs part time as a DJ himself. I would watch him in amazement as he would mix and manipulate other people’s music. I bought my first set of turntables at the age 18 in Japan, took them home and went to work. I have been spinning as “Dj AssAssIn†since 1997. Being a “Bedroom DJ†for some time was great hands on experience for me. A local DJ in Japan (DJ Hi5) gave me a set of duplicate records of a single track and told me to take it home and simply match the beats. I thought it was simple enough but after only 2 weeks of practice DJ Hi5 was impressed, I finally matched the beats and everything else came naturally to me ever since. I was finally able to test my skills in a battle in Japan and placed 4th for a team battle. Since then I have did some gigs and radio which are listed in the remainder of my bio.• 1997- Competed in the Vastex DJ Competition in Japan with a friend and placed 4th for a team battle.• 1998- Opened for Big Daddy Kane at DC Live in Washington, DC. Also I was the Co DJ alongside DJ Special K for DC Live• 2004- Competed in the Scion DJ Remix Competition (Local Region) at Guitar Center in Chantilly, VA. I tied for 1st place in the competition.• 2005-2006- Was the 3rd member of DJ Xclusives “Rated X Squad†and spun on XM 67 The City. Through XM The City and the Rated X Squad had the opportunity to be one of the featured DJ’s for the XM/Hot Import Nights Car Show in Centerville, VA in 2005.• 2007- Working on a mix CD that features unsigned down south artist’s for XM Raw 66’s Day 1 Radio’s, Day 1 Productions to be shopped for distribution in Texas.
