in short , here are some excerpts from bio. Some of the first projects I worked on , notably, writing & composing Sybil's single, "Oh How I Love You"(Next Plateau/London), arranging & editing James Brown's album, "Love Overdue" (Scotti Bros) as well as BeBe and CeCe Winans single feat Mavis Staples, entitled, "I'll Take You There" (Capital). I was also on the production team for the Quincy Jones single, "I'll be Good To You" (Warners/Qwest) featuring Chaka Khan and the legendary Ray Charles. I also assisted Danny Tenaglia in launching prod/mixing career after he sought my advice on one of his first Productions. After putting my Edit/Arrangement touch to it , at Shakedown Studio this became the worldwide classic "The Harmonica Track" & was released on Arthur Bakers Minimal Records (which was to be licensed onto Maxi & also on Dave Mancuso's Loft Compilation Box Set).It was at this time that two of my tunes "Feel So Right" by Solution and "I Want you To Know" by Groove Committee went on to become instant house classics. Todd Terry then licensed a Production from me & said "When you got a sound thats working, just keep on with it".I also worked on "In The .Closet" by Michael Jackson feat Madonna (their only ever duet) & began pumping out productions steadily such as the unforgettable. I Know A Place by Sound Of One, which Roger Sanchez released on his first Label at the time & the classic "Dirty Games". On the DJ front I regularly headline in Italy, Germany, San Francisco, L.A., Australia, Switzerland, Portugal, Ibiza, & France. I also launched Bassline Records & Big Big Trax & releases on the label included "Do You Feel Me", Connie Harvey's gospel inspired, "Thank You Lord", Urban Blues Projects unforgettable, "Deliver Me", Colonel Abrahams classic Not Gonna Let & Mone's soulful, "Better Way" & Never Gonna Be The Same. It was also during this time that I launched my own production company V.J.S. Productions, where I assisted , and in some cases discovered & introduced to the business Angel Morales, Jazz N Groove, Urban Blues Project & Julius Papp, Jay Jay !In addition I started West Side Records cultivating new talent such as Kings of Tomorrow/Sandy Rivera (whose first Remix ever, was for me), Johan S , Soul Creation , Pound Boys , Jeanie Hopper , and others , as well as my productions , and Stellar Records.
