DJ LELE PASINI
At the base of the success of every artist there is always more than talent and professionalism, there is also enthusiasm. A characteristic that is without a doubt a priority in the career of Lele Pasini, DJ and producer who is a reference point for the exponents of todays club culture, amongst other things the son of the Riviera that has given birth to some true stars of the mixer on a national and international level.Lele Pasini was born in Rimini in 1974, music already ran through his veins, in his blood there are variable percentages of soul, house rhythms and experimental electronic. Already as a child he began to put down the foundations of his work by gaining from his father who was a musician, tied to the folklore of the 60s, the determination and right dose of popish irony, fundamental components for an individual who aspires to become a public personality, loved and followed by the crowds. Time passed through the research of production that made him explore and experiment the most diverse musical universes but above all dance in general.DJing became a hobby from 1990 and his first training ground, where he could experiment with that which he knew how to do, became the club Cellophane situated in Miramare in Rimini, one of the most symbolic clubs of the time. The public responded well to his sets that were based around house, new percussive rhythms and electro sounds. Proposing music in the discotheques then became his profession and in 1992 he reached the most prestigious console in the nation, that of Cocoricò in Riccione, a truly symbolic place for the club culture. A consecrated DJ of refined and innovative sounds, two years passed before he moved on to Peter Pan in Riccione whilst contemporarily alternating his nights at the very famous Paradiso in Rimini. In his vinyl record bags there is never missing the Whistle Song by Frankie Knuckles, one of the essential records of his collection. In 1995 he began to experiment with his mixing technique in the most famous Italian places amongst which, remaining mythical, are those sets in clubs such as Echoes in Misano (Rimini), Alter Ego in Verona, the New York Bar in Bologna, East Side in Avellino and Mazoom in Desenzano del Garda. He travelled the length and breadth of Italy accompanied by and playing with sacred monsters of the scene such as Tony Humphries, Little Louie Vega, Timo Maas and Carl Cox with whom he became friends as well as perfect correspondents for exchanging news and records. Now he has reached the moment to export his background abroad, from 2001 Lele Pasini has been resident at the highly valued Pacha in Monaco di Bavera which also puts him strongly into the light by offering, every year, the possibility of playing also at the celebrated Love Parade in Berlin (2 editions, 2002, 2003).From 2001 Lele became a consultant for Disco Più records in Rimini, a store that has become a reference point for all of the European (and non) DJs as well as musical critic for Discoid Magazine, a well respected monthly that is a leading publication for underground music and discography. He is also starting to organise nights at the renamed after tea Bignè.As a producer he has worked on numerous pieces of work amongst which shines out the remix of Down & Under of Kid Crème that reached number four in the English charts.
