About Me

This is the page created for the projects of POTS AND PANS INK, a comic division created by Rob Potchak. Here you will see updates and visuals from upcoming projects, including LANDIS, The Ardy Vanstarr Adventures, THIEF and TAGGER.
Rob Potchak has been creating comics since he was 13 years old, when he was first published by 5th Panel Comics. From there, he was introduced to Chris Crosby and Crosby's SCC Entertainment and Blatant Comics labels. Working on difficult deadlines, Potchak was able to craft his first book, SCORN: HEATWAVE in 1996. As a backup story, Rob Potchak also got his first creator owned character in this title, in a story called ARDY: CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS, about an alien private investigator.
In 2003, as part of the A-BOMB label, Potchak brought his other creator-owned project to life, in the form of LANDIS, about an immortal woman on her quest to find Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Though the only issue to ever be published has a circulation of 22000 copies, the concept missed picking up, though would have been in the Diamond TOP 300. It wasn't until June of 2005 that LANDIS was finally given its own chance, as part of the KEENSPOT NETWORK of comics online, where it is updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and available at elisalandis.com. (All art for the LANDIS series has been contributed by outstanding artist, Owen Gieni (sorethumbsonline.com))
Currently, Landis is wrapping up its current story, and when that completes, Potchak will launch THE ARDY VANSTARR ADVENTURES with hot new artist, JK Radtke. The series will deal with the sci-fi and fantastic that really goes places not typically seen in comics. (Coming soon to ARDYVANSTARR.COM)
While crafting the storyline for Ardy, Potchak has also enlist frequent collaborator, Eric Kent to illustrate two titles, one being THIEF, the story of a man who in the heat of the moment does something that creates huge regret and to make amends he has to take up the mantle of a hero. Stated as one of the FINAL original ideas in all of comics, this story is the one Potchak is most proud of, and won't release until its perfect.
Potchak and Kent are also currently working on a sequel of sorts for LANDIS, entitled TAGGER, about her cohort, Janus Tagger, and his life. This will probably be available A LOT sooner than THIEF, but Potchak says that the story is really close to perfect without needing a rewrite.
