About Me

I started on the Montreal musical scene as a funk-latin-jazz composer/arranger and bass player. I studied jazz arrangement andpop electric bass but my growing passion for folk music gave me a taste for the wooden flute, which I started to play in 1997. Since then, I devoted much time and energy creating a « Quebec » flute style, which can be heard in Genticorum. Since 2002, I have taught flute and whistle in a folk music school in Montreal (École des Arts de la Veillée).I also played with bands of a variety of styles, including folk-pop band Perdu l’Nord, for which I composed and played bass and flute. Discography: Genticorum: Malins Plaisirs (2005); Perdu l'Nord: Clair Obsur (2003); Genticorum: Le Galarneau (2002); Polo: Citoyen du Monde (2002); Chistophe Comte: Moïra (2002); Perdu l'Nord: Perdu l'Nord (2000); Collaborations: Les Touristes: Les Touristes (2002); Chakidor: Chakidor (2000) For more tunes and upcoming shows with Genticorum, visit the band's profile. To hear my tunes with Perdu l'Nord, visit the profile linked below. To meet me in Montreal, come at the Québécois music session at Vices et Versa every Tuesday (St-Laurent, south of St-Zotique). Good music, good beer and great fun!
