Mélisande

I was 15 when I first performed with a band in a smokey bar in my hometown of Montréal. I knew I had to do this for the rest of my life so I started to take private voice lessons. Not long after that I co-founded Mémoire Vive who became an important band in the Montréal local scene, I was the lead singer of that band for about 5 years. I studied with different voice teachers and I slowly started to learn guitar. In the fall of 2000, I went to New-Jersey to attend a week-long Guitar Craft seminar led by Robert Fripp (King Crimson) and I met Victor McSurely (Blue Man Group) who soon after asked me to join his band, The Sweepers. Until recently I've worked with that Boston based band as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. I am now on my own performing solo and singing with the band Colette... check it out!!
