About Me

DeMarco is one of the dopest MC’s the Midwest has ever produced bottomline. Formerly a member of the group 275, he is partly responsible for Dayton’s first hip-hop classic, Tall Life, which was dropped in 1999. This album was critically acclaimed and drew national attention immediately. Mixtapes such as Murder By Numbers I and II, showed raw street credibility and an uncanny ability to create hood anthems at will. He has toured with PMD of EPMD fame, DJ Honda, and has performed with everyone from the legendary Rakim to T.I. He has appeared in The Source, Right-On magazine, XXL, and numerous other publications. Funkmaster Flex dropped a bomb on the Dayton classic, "Dedications", the most lyrical effort to date. 275’s video "Move Somethin", played on BET Uncut for nearly a year. DeMarco’s commercial look, charisma, and raw lyricism make him a complete package. "I’m Good At It" 1.5 is due out summer 08’, and it will quite possibly the album of the year worldwide. DeMarco’s versatility is unmatched from club bangers like "SuperSoaker" and "Break Bread", to radio hits on deck like "Number 2" and the classic "Strange". It isn’t all just money, cars and women as he touches base with the realities of the streets. "Pressure" and "Buck Rodgers" show the other side of the drug game that rappers don’t talk about. Buck Rodgers is a term meaning spending the rest of your life in prison. Lyrically DeMarco still shows he’s one of the best M.C.’s with joints like "Go" and "I’m Good At It" the title track. "I Deserve It" is the heartfelt jump-off that sets a classic tone for the album out the gate as he asks, "Who said O ni**as couldn’t rap...I deserve it". This is no less than a 4 1/2 mic album. This is Dayton’s version of the Chronic/Illmatic rolled in one. You need this in your deck, real talk.
