Equipped with unassailable swag and raw talent, Southwest Atlanta (SWATS) natives ATM (About the Money) exhibit the grittiness and symmetry of a young GooDie Mob circa 1995. Comprised of Jayco (JeCorey Ware), Young Rich T (Terrion Whitlock) and Win (Kenwin Gates), the talented trio officially came to fruition in 2003 after former schoolmates Win and T discovered their shared affinity for hip-hop while attending Benjamin E. Mays high school. Soon after this realization, Win introduced T to childhood friend and existing MC Jayco, and ATM was created instantaneously. The trio began recording in Jayco’s home studio aka The Spook, where the talented three crafted a sundry and inventive musical style that they now deem as Swag Music. Swag Music has a laidback resonance, and is a creative expression of ATM’s everyday lifestyle and Southwest Atlanta upbringing.
Since their formation in 2003, ATM have become staples of the Georgia hip-hop scene frequently sharing stages with fellow hip-hop colleagues such as, Rich Boy, Gucci Mane, Shawty Lo, Montana Da Mac, Gorilla Zoe, Playaz Circle, Yung Ralph and a bevy of others, and their street anthem and club banger Get Jiggy is one of the number one songs in Atlanta, and has been featured on a multitude of in-demand mixtapes, from the likes of Black Bill Gates, DJ Scream, DJ Goldfinger and DJ Coolbreeze.
Throughout the years, the steady grinders have accumulated a mass of respect and recognition in the southeast region. They’re two time champions/retirees of ATL’s Hot 107.9 Durtty Boyz Battlegrounds competition. Additionally their underground hit Get Jiggy has been featured as Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def radio Pick of the Week, and Win’s production for DG Yola’s hit Ain’t Gone Let Up has been featured in XXL’s Production Credit section.
The swag ambassadors just recently released their wildly popular DJ Scream hosted mixtape classic Da Takeover: Uninvited Guests, which features the remix to their hit
