THE ATL RECORD POOL
JUNE 26,27, AND 28TH!!
I mean, have you ever been in the presence of a DJ that could turn your day into a holiday? Well if it’s hard for you to answer that question then maybe you have never been to a 2G Entertainment function. Atlanta being the new Motown of the south, transitioning into its very own Black Hollywood houses some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry period. But for one particular individual, you’d say the country Peach Orchards of Fort Valley, Ga over ignited a big city hustle that created 2G entertainment that allowed the streets of Atlanta to give back creditable judgment, which gave the world a brand new Holiday. Robert “DJ Holiday†Avery who was born in Germany, but made his way to the Eastside of Georgia or as we know it Decatur by the age of five and has called it home ever since. When DJ Holiday attended Fort Valley State University, he was a four year starting Linebacker that commanded respect on the defensive side of the field. There he linked up with the Plug man, who was also a four year starting wide receiver for the Fort Valley wildcats. While at Fort Valley Mr. Avery began working with the school radio station and in a matter of months matriculated up the ranks to hosting his own show with the Dirty Boyz of Macon, Ga on WFM 97.9. DJ Holiday’s grind spread like wildfire, realizing that the middle Georgia area could only take him so far he packed up and moved back to Eastside Decatur. So if you up on game, or got a good plug to the streets, or you’re out there getting in yourself then you know Dj Holiday aka Mr. Everything got the streets chirping like Nextel. With over 5,000 copies sold of Street Judgment Vol. 1 and over 12,000 copies sold of Street Judgment Vol.2 and Street’s screaming for Street Judgment Vol.3 (that predicts to sell over 30,000 units) It is safe to say that this is not just a mixtape series but yet a movement that started from the ground up that has been compared to a colt like following. Dj Holiday has deejayed some the hottest celebrity parties, that included Andre 3000, Mr. 17-5 Young Jeezy, Jazze Pha, Hoopz from the Flavor of Love and so many more. Musically he has worked with Killer Mike, Bone Crusher, Khao Grand Hustles own beat maker, Young Dro, Mac Boney, Big Kuntry Kane, AK da Razor Man, Short Dog, Jody Breeze, Nitti and the whole Playmaker Music family, Sunny V, The Big Oomp Camp, Gucci Man, and Bobby Valentino to name a few. Holiday has done Promotional work for BadBoy South were he had the privilege to meet the Hip Hop mogul P. Diddy, Grand Hustle, and Disturbing The Peace and currently holds a position with the Promotional team Plush Blue entertainment. Holiday was first featured in StreetTalk magazine and now has publications in Grip Magazine as well as About to Blow magazine. Everyday Is A Holiday. In Closing I leave you the mission for my company. "We are here not to be seen but heard not to be known but remembered." Word by Plugman thanks homie.
