About Me

MODE 24 DESIGN STUDIO. 2005. A concept. 2006. A desirable alternative. They exist in a space purely of their own. A desire, passion and creativity which enables the re-definition of taboos and dismissal of traditional beliefs to maintain, reposition and propel brand images.
RICARDO EVERSLEY, Creative Director is with out doubt one of the most dynamic graphic artists out there. Credited as one of the most talented graduates to emerge from Guildhall (now London Metropolitan) University in years. Ricardo’s approach and innovation displayed in his final year piece encouraged an appeal to a wider design audience embracing moving image as well as design for print.
In 2002 he was the last student to win the coveted Sir John Cass Foundation Prize for Design & Innovation under the Guildhall identity. Whilst still in his last year, he was asked to present a lecture and seminar to 3rd and 2nd year students. After working for a prestigious London based design company, Ricardo returned to London Metropolitan to give further lectures on "Efficiency within Design" and "Adobe after Effects".
Now heading his own design studio, Ricardo’s well considered layouts and modern day surreal design has enabled him to build a portfolio drawing from the most unlikely sources. With a client base encompassing entertainment, education and politics Ricardo's corporate briefs for organizations such as Acfest, Ministry Of Sound, London Metropolitan University and The Barbados High Commission are that of which any up and coming designer would yearn for.
But as he explains it’s his smaller budgeted clientele who have enabled him to demonstrate the glossy mix of corporate bling, juxtaposed font and imagery which has become his trademark.
He is part of an ever-increasing movement of multifaceted graphic artists who manage to show a comprehensible variation within each new piece of work. When asked about his influences and what inspires his work his answer is simply, "The ever changing landscapes of life: there can be no better design than that which comes naturally, without any premeditation".
In October 2006 Ricardo was appointed as Module leader on the BA Design Studies course at london Metropolitan University and in January 2007 was also appointed on to the London Metropolitan Foundation Course...
