Newvolution are a four piece chemical punk rock band from Brighton, England.
Formed in 2005, the band have been working tirelessly in the studio and in live venues accross the country ever since.
2006 saw the release of Newvolution's self released double A side debut single, "Prozac-Ketamin-Sleeping Pills-Adrenalin". This bastard of a Dance/Punk tune along with the bittersweet rocker "Never find Me Out" was produced by Martin Whiteman of The Lo-Fidelity Allstars . The release also boasts a thumping remix by the Lo-Fis as well as an epic remix of "Never Find Me Out" by Brighton producers Torez .
The single received favourable reviews, and notably repeat plays on Radio 1's Annie Nightingale show and on XFM.
Regardless of the above, Newvolution are a LIVE band. Sweating energy and with a backdrop of large screen mind blowing cutting edge visuals, it is a Rock n Roll show every time. Love em or Loathe em, it is impossible to ignore this band live. As well as producing their own successful club night, the band have played support to bands such as South, Kubb and the Jeevas, at venues such as The Dublin Castle, Waterrats, The Brighton Concorde, Bristol's Anson rooms and Brighton and Birmingham universities.
Newvolution recently headlined at the Tempetes Sonores Festival in Dieppe, France, and a film made by Atikho of the band's performance can viewed above.
The immediate future is very busy for the band, with a tour being organised in Scotland and the north of England, as well as shows in their home town of Brighton, and Nu-Rave nights in London and accross the country. The band are also planning to return to France to play some shows in Paris.
