About Me

Alchemy Dance Theater is a contemporary global dance company based in New York City. ADT creates new forms and fusions from modern and ancient sources, sampling ethnic and electronic elements -- from India to the Balkans, North Africa to Brooklyn -- and remixing them into a moving collage across cultures. Current projects include HYBRID -- a performance series that features new evolutions in contemporary global performance -- as well as numerous other performances, classes, and workshops. Sarah Johansson Locke and Irina Akulenko are the core members of Alchemy Dance Theater, Pete List is our musical collaborator, and Renata and Vorona are current guest artists.
