Ok, here goes......
I Started playing my older brothers (Blue Sparkle!) Maxwin kit around i guess the age of 10, heavily influenced by aforementioned brothers vinyl collection (Ac/Dc,Brownsville Station,Slade,Kiss,Grand Funk Railroad,Sparks,Hound Dog Taylor,Chris Spedding,Molly Hatchet,Saxon,iron Maiden,Dag Vag,the Police and 300 other bands/records!)
Have vivid memories of trying to drum along to ACDC "if you want blood".Quickly moved along to heavier stuff when "Ride the lightning" and " Welcome to hell" came out, music was it and i never looked back, though i think the first record that i bought for my own money was "Lick it up"... Started the Death Metal band NIRVANA 2002 in 1988, my first proper band(good times)....the line goes: from Kiss to Motley crue to Venom to Slayer to Bathory to Death to Allan Holdsworth to Miles Davis to Ornette Coleman...
phew...what a musical "decline" that is! : )I went to music school/conservatory for a awfully long time, learned to drum properly though, moved about in Sweden for a few years and played with all kinds of bands/music ; LASSE LINDGREN HIPBOPBAND,THE INSTIGATORS,LOUISANA RED,KLOCKA,TPIKSA,TIC!. Somehow I ended up Iceland in the year 2000, now i´m teaching at FIH school of music, i´ve played even more kinds of music with B3 TRIO,HILMAR JENSSON,SIGURDUR FLOSASON,DAVID O´HIGGINS,JOHAN ASMUNDSSON,SEAMUS BLAKE,INGRID JENSEN,ICELANDIC NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA,CHRIS CHEEK,ESA PIETILA,AD PEIJNENBURG,STEVE HUBBACK,HALLI REYNIS, REYKJAVIK CHAMBER ORCHESTRA,DWAYNE SODAHBERK,ASGEIR ASGEIRSSON among many other things...Playing drums for a living has taken me all around the globe, festivals and concerts in Europe,Scandinavia,Usa and recently China!
