I was born in 2236, to Ian Andrew and Lwaxana Troi. My father died when I was 7 years old, leaving me to be brought up by my Mother, who is also ambassador to the government of Betazed, daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx and Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed.
After I studied Psychology at the University of Betazed, where I first met William T. Riker, I joined Starfleet upon graduating in 2359.
My empathic powers proved to be invaluable to the crew of the Enterprise. As well as being ship's counselor, I also played an important role in many negotiations with alien races as well as being an excellent diplomat.
I had an older sister, but she drowned when she was 7 years old. Her death was a horrible blow to my mother. And she blocked iot from her memory for about 30 years.
I had a son once. But he died. His name was Ian Andrew Jr., after my father. He was born of an alien conception and it took human form. And was my son for a short while. It hurt me very deeply when he died. But he didn't really die, only my Ian died, the being still exsists somewhere out in space.
