Music:
The Townehouse
Alun Piggins
Marc Charron
JEFF BUCKLEY'S HALLELUJAH
Andre was raised around country music and that remains a strong part of his musical interest. He prefers old country. Linda was raised on all kinds of music and says that she does not like one style more than another. Still, Andre's old country seems to rub off on her.
Bottom line however, we like all forms of music with the exception of rap--what the hell is that anyway?.
In Sudbury,we are fortunate enough to have The Townehouse Tavern, the place where Stomping Tom himself wrote his famous Sudbury Saturday Night. The TownehouseTaverns has a live show or shows every night.
We love going to The Townhouse, talking with people who work and play there. The live music is fantastic and the crowd is great and people are very tolerant of each other and there is never anyone looking for trouble. It is just a fun place to be.

Television:
Simpsons--Is there really anything else on TV?
Documentaries--and in particular, WWII and how we have failed to learn from all of its lessons. Do we really need to wonder why we continue to see war, genocide, war crimes, atrocities and terrorism?
Fun Stuff--Programs to make me laugh.
Books:
G.D. Roberts, Law and Life, London. W.H. Allen, 1964.
This is a book written by a British Barrister (lawyer) who was a member of the British prosecution team at the Nuremberg Trials. It is difficult to find this book. I lost my copy and have not been able to find another copy since.
Update Jan. 07: Thanks to a MySpace Friend "Queen of the Freakin Universe", I now have a second copy of this book. Thanks Queen.
Update January 29, 07
Man, the coolest think happened today. G.D. Robert’s great grand son (Elliot J. Brown--see his profile in our top friends" contacted me on My Space. He had been doing research on his great grand father and discovered our little part of the world. He has also helped me get another book by the author that I did not know about entitled, Without My Wig.
Heroes:
My DAD
My hero is my father who has now been fighting cancer for two years. In November 06, he underwent his second major cancer operation.
He is my hero because of the courage he shows in pursuing his life. His strength, determination and courage humble me. I love you Pop--Andre
