Indie music will take over the world!

About Me

.. -- -- -- -- CDBABY LINK for VARIOUS INDIE NEW YORK MUSICIANS: New York Cares About Local Music (2CDs!) --

I have loved music as long as I can remember. I quasi-tried the piano in grade school, and then I failed miserably at the guitar in high school. And let's not talk about my voice. But I love music, always have. Initially with the help of MurphGuide and WOMANROCK and then on my own, I have booked acts over the years at venues such as Parkside Lounge, Baggott Inn, The Living Room, Arlene's Grocery, The Knitting Factory, Tribeca Rock Club, and Cafe 111. I quit my banking day job (albeit a little too soon) and formed Local Music Now, LLC, in November 2004. Local Music Now Radio followed. I formed a partnership with a local umbrella charity organization, New York Cares, and discovered 31 NYC-based talented and diverse musicians willing to donate their songs to a compilation CD, New York Cares About Local Music . I sunk my savings into the project, and the end result was "one of the most consistently entertaining compilations," according to The Daily Vault. Unfortunately, sales have been non-existent for New York Cares About Local Music (my first friend on here), so please buy it! Stalk me on my new Twitter page .
