Jorge Cid

         Jorge Cid has 22 years of experience in music, from the time he  started playing the Piccolo flute in the school marching band at the age  of seven.     He later developed into playing the guitar and bass for his Christian Church band, and also sang in the Children's Choir for the Conservatory of Music in his home city  of Bahia Blanca.                                                  Soon after Jorge was taking music lessons and studying                                                  symphonic percussion and drums, which would later become                                                  his instrument of choice as he began his career as a                                                  professional musician at the age of 17.            From that time until now, he has been recording and touring for several artists and also teaching. His years of work in all the prominent cities of Argentina have given him an incomparable experience as a performer, both                                                  in the studio and on stage, incorporating all the most recognized music styles,                                                  such as: Gospel, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Tango, Reggae, Flamenco, Electronic,                                                  Latin, Latin Jazz, and several others.                                                  If nothing else, Jorge Cid is the ultimate embodiment of unparalled technique,                                                    talent, and versatility.     He currently resides in the city of Buenos Aires since 2005 and still travels extensively throughout Argentina and Europe.                                                    Noted achievements include working with artists such as Aureliano Tango                                                   Club (gifted pioneers of Tango/Jazz fusion), guitarrist/songwriter Adriana Sica,                                                   and the ever-popular Reggae band Chala Rasta.                                              In 2007 Jorge broadened his horizons even further                                                   to include music production.                                                   He is currently focusing his talents to arrange,                                                   compose and record his own work as well as the                                                   projects  of others.          Exhibitions of his recording work include not only drums, but also guitar, bass,       and keyboard, and can be found on his Myspace Music, www.jazzitalia.net  or at www.jorgecid.com.ar .       The PRODUCTION DEMO  (the second song on the Myspace Player) is an example of                                                   his work starting only with a rough vocal track, and recording his own guitars,                                                    keyboards,  drum tracks and programing to complete the song with help of                                                    two sessionists, Gabriel Santecchia on Sax, and Marcelo Vaccaro on Bass.                                                    All production and editing was managed by Jorge Cid, who still considers the                                                    Demo to be a work-in-progress.
